Meet Cristina Ramos and Rene Robles, two longtime speech-language pathologists and the founders of Five Oaks Speech Therapy Services in California. During this week’s episode, these two walk us through how they met and why they decided to pursue speech pathology in the first place. They also share how they’ve come to own four practices and counting and offer what they’ve learned from interviewing and mentoring burgeoning SLPs over the years. They provide insights for students and new clinicians who want to make a good first impression and gain the skills they need to grow within the field.

Quote Of The Conversation
“I think if your intentions and your passion for the field are there, you’re going to pick it up. You’re going to get it. I promise you will. Because you have the will to want to learn it and want to be better for the sake of the profession because you love the profession so much. And so, I think you can at least gather some confidence in saying, “I love this field. I love learning. I’m an active learner. And I love helping people.”
